Project Development Detail

Cycle Spawner is a 2D puzzle platformer game/prototype where you control an alien whose goal is to get to the door at the end of every level. The player has the ability to spawn up to four different magic balls that will aid them in solving puzzles and reaching hard to reach places.

I developed Cycle Spawner by myself in the span of one month. The game was made in Unity and programmed in C#. I spent the majority of the development time designing the game's mechanics and levels systems that the player has to use throughout the game and then implementing it into Unity.

Key Feats:

  • Developed an automatic cycling inventory mechanic that seamless cycles through objects in a loop for a player to spawn with the press of a button

  • Designed and implemented seven levels that aim to teach players about the mechanics

  • Developed a minimap, UI transitions, and goal systems.
